ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
XR technology is rapidly evolving as a powerful approach for improving the treatment of mental disorders, but the underlying neural and cognitive/emotional mechanisms remain to be fully elucidated. In addition, developing the next generation of XR assessment and intervention tools requires interdisciplinary collaboration between fundamental and clinical science. To address these pressing issues, we have created a novel, high-profile meeting with an exclusive focus on mental health. The meeting will bring together leading scientists working on Fundamental XR Research, Clinical XR Research and Human Computer Interaction.
Plus, don’t miss our VR Therapy workshop with Prof. Stéphane Bouchard (Canada), where you can learn about practical implementations of VR therapy firsthand! A bibliometric study by Guan et al. (2025) examined the 100 most-cited papers on mental health and virtual reality. They listed Stéphane Bouchard in both of their two short lists of the most impactful scholars.
CME accreditation is available for participants from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You will receive 18 credits points (CME) at the Medical Association Berlin. In case you wish to credit the points, please bring with your EFN number stickers.

CYBER Award for CYBER Students
CYBER: Cyberspace, Behaviour and e-Therapy Erasmus Mundus Joint Master is an innovative program that integrates behavioral and computer sciences to offer a transdisciplinary approach for studying and intervening in human behavior through digital processes, products, and services (PPS). CYBER is a two-year EMJM program that brings together students from two distinct backgrounds: Human Behavior Background (HBB) and Exact Sciences and Engineering Background (EEB). The program is offered by three universities: University Lusófona (Lisbon, Portugal), University of Barcelona (Spain), and Université Paris Cité (France). Students from HBB and EEB backgrounds are paired into teams, known as „CYBER Teams“ (CYBER-T), working collaboratively throughout the program (www.cyber-t.eu).
The CYBER Award for CYBER Students aims to recognize and reward research led by PhD and/or MSc students enrolled in the CYBER program. The research must focus on the use and validation of digital technologies, including VR, AR, XR, and AI, to better understand and/or intervene in human behavior. This award, valued at €250, is open to applicants from both CYBER tracks (HBB and EEB). Applicants must attend Mind XR conference in person and present an oral presentation discussing an original investigation. The award is presented by Professor Pedro Gamito, Head of the CYBER Program.
